Day 94 … Albuquerque

For breakfast, we went down to the lobby of the hotel for waffles and coffee. We were able to extend our check out time til noon for no extra charge which enabled us to have a relaxing morning packing up our things. Once we got back on the road, we made our way to the Petroglyph National Monument. Unfortunately, the recent snow was still covering most of the rocks hiding the plethora of petroglyphs. Nevertheless, we walked the main loop through the area that is known to have the highest concentration of ancient drawings. Along the walk, we were able to spot a few of the designs, but mostly it turned out to be a walk in the snow. For lunch, we went to Old Town Pizza for a calzone and pizza. After lunch, we walked through Old Town checking out the local shops. The plan is to head north towards the Aztec Ruins and try to spend the night in Farmington, NM.
