Day 57 … Belize City, Belize

Danielle on the tender from the ship to shore in Belize.

Belize City

This morning, we are arriving at the port of Belize City. The ship will anchor out off the coast and guests will tender to the port. On our last cruise, we woke up early to get our tender tickets. This time, we slowly woke up and got breakfast before picking up our tender tickets. Our tickets were for boat number 20. We had plenty of time to go back to the room, pack our day bag, and make our way to the gangway before disembarking. It was nearly 11:30 AM before we made it to the mainland. Once in Belize we were bombarded by tour guides offering us island tours, train rides, and horse and carriage rides. We spent the morning walking around the port and stopping in at all the local shops. The weather was very warm (almost too hot), and it was nice to pop into the shops and enjoy their AC from time to time. Looking forward to a nap and some time in the hot tubs, we went back to the ship.
