Day 55 … Day at Sea

In the interior room without a clock and with a time zone change last night, we woke up in the morning with no idea what time it might be. We turned on the TV to the NCL channel to find out it was about 8:45 AM. We decided to get up and get on with our day. To start the day, we each picked up a cup of coffee and settled on the back deck in the sun. What a great way to wake up! The sea went on for miles and two large ships could be seen in the distance. Today the forecast calls for 75 degree weather with up 15 mph winds (a nice breeze when you’re on board) coming for the northwest. We walked the length of the ship through the crystal atrium, around the stern of the boat, and past the shuffle board players.

We went back to the room to put on our swimsuits before making our way to the Garden Cafe for breakfast. The made-to-order omelette bar was one of our favorite spots from the last cruise. This time, things seemed a little slow, but the omelets were still yummy. After breakfast, we took a dip in the hot tubs, in the salt water pool, and then played a round of ping pong on the sun deck. In the afternoon, Matt took a nap while Danielle went to a seminar about shopping in the ports. For lunch, we went back to the buffet to grab something to munch on. Freestyle cruising on the Norwegian Pearl is great! You can find something to eat at any time, take a dip in the pool, or find some of the live entertainment on board. We are loving the luxury of being on this cruise. Our room staff make up the cabin at least once a day, plus they will come turn down the sheets and drop off the cruising information for the next day.
