Day 54 … All Abord!

Energized with excitement over boarding the ship and beginning the cruise, we were up early this morning. (Plus we turned the clocks back last night.) We tried to print our boarding passes at the nearby Office Max and Kinkos, but we had no luck. We made it to the Red Roof Inn just after 11:15. Here, we could park the car for the week and catch a shuttle to the port. We barely made it on the 12:00 shuttle as it was a tight squeeze with many other guests traveling to the port. Danielle ended up sitting on Matt’s lap for the ride surrounded by luggage.

As we got off the shuttle and counted our luggage, we wandered toward the terminal. We found a porter who helped us check our baggage and case of ‘water’. After completing our health surveys, making through the metal deals, and getting our room number and boarding passes at the check-in, we were about to board the ship! Just a few steps away, our interior room with our comfortable bed and our warm shower were being prepped for the week ahead. We settled on the sun deck and made a few phone calls before our room was ready. By 1:00 PM, we were able to get into our room and drop off our stuff. We grabbed some food and went to the hot tubs. For the rest of the evening we jockeyed between the buffet, the room, and the hot tub before calling it a night.
