How Time Flies!

Less than One Week  Its crazy to think that in less than a week Matt and I will be halfway across the country beginning the trip of a lifetime.  There is still so much packing and moving to be done, but at the same time I can’t wait!  The fine details are all coming along… finally.

We should arrive at Mount Rushmore by Friday, August 8th.  After two days of exploring the national monument, we will head to Yellowstone for four days of adventure and relaxation.  A new addition to our route is Glacier Park in northern Montana.  While in Seattle, WA we will try to check out the Olympic Mountains and one of America’s active volcanoes, Mount Rainier.

Before making our way to Los Angelas, CA we will stop at the Redwood Forest and the Golden Gate Bridge.  The four days we have planned to stay in Santa Barbara will allow for a well need rest and a bit of fun in the sun at the beach.  When we are all rested up… Las Vegas here we come!  By August 24th, we hope to make it the southern side of the Grand Canyon.  Camping at the Grand Canyon for a few nights should give us enough time to do some exploring.  As we head to Salt Lake City, we will stop by the Grand Staircase Escalante.  The rest of the trip is still a bit of a mystery, but we are surely going to stop in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and hopefully Florida.

As usual, we are always looking for advice and suggestions for places to see on our trip.  After asking around, I have received many good ideas.  My aunt suggested trading park passes with other travelers or simply offering the pass to others (good karma!).  -Great advice Aunt Maryellyn!  Keep it coming!
